Can Remote close windows

I can use the remote to open all the windows and sunroof by holding the open button down. In the owners manual it reads that i should be able to close all the windows and sunroof by holding down the lock button. Its not working does anyone have any answers for this?

Key in the door, turn to LOCK will close them

I think it's considered a legal/liability thing in the US so it doesn't work here. In Europe they don't sue so easy if you accidentally get somebody's hand/head/arm caught in the window while not looking and walking away I guess.
