08 550 to 09 X6 35

Put a down-payment on 09 X6 35 - loaded at a very good price...Love my 550 and this is not an easy decision..Would be giving-up the E60 for the X6.

Dealer stepping-up with incentives, Xdrive would be nice in Minny...Anyone have an opinion to share?

Am still a bit concerned with HPFP too...

If the interior of the X6 was in the 5 series, I would have stuck with a 5.

I just can't get past crappy cup holders and console area of the 5/6 series.

The passenger comfort of the X6 far exceeds the 5 IMO, plus the high/smooth ride is a winner.

I like the interior aesthetics of the refreshed 5'er a lot..Do you like your 35i? Any regrets? Any HPFP issues??

you should be happy

Hi,

I have a 550 sport and would be getting an X6 if I didn't get the wife an X5.

Thing is this though. I drove the 3.5 for a long test drive and had a friend's 5.0 for 4 days. The 5.0 is incredible. It drives just like the 550 except that its cornering threshold of grip is just lower. But the tremendous torque of the 5.0 makes the car feel really light on its feet. The 3.5 is as fast as our X5 4.8, but the 5.0 is really that much better.

Probably not what you wanted to hear. But for what its worth, as a lease, the X6 5.0 can be had for what I'm paying on my 550! It is one of the BEST deals BMW offers right now. If you lease and you can swing $1050/month you won't be sorry.

Either way you'll enjoy the car I'm sure. Its a great offering.

Good luck.

Agreed -- the 50i is a beast...I had a chance to test drive both and ended-up with the 35i..It was in inventory, great color and tremendous deal at the time..Very motivated dealer!

So far, I've been extremely pleased and have not regretted forgoing the 50i...But I'm it sure will be part of my consideration set again in 36 mos!
