Thumbs up Stopped in Traffic - Twice today!

Just driving along, in heavy traffic today (waiting for a freeway merge, metered style) and I hear honking, more honking. Look to my right and it's a couple of guys in a car, motioning for me to lower my window.

What kind of BMW is that? How many cylinders? IS IT FAST???

After getting over the shock of it, answer the questions, got two big thumbs up and drove on.

A half hour later, waiting at the signal at the offramp, pretty much the same thing.

Then, at the market, hop out of the X6 to go in and get intercepted by a young couple that want to look at the interior, hatch area, and ask questions about the X6 all the way into the store.

Not a typical day - but the X6 sure does attract ATTENTION.

Everyone (so far) seems to LOVE it - say they have not seen an X6 "in person" before.

Awesome. I fell in love with one when I took the 330 into Steve Thomas in Camarillo for some work. I was damn close to start working on a deal.

I work down here in Newport Beach but live in Valencia, I picked mine up here in NPB since Valencia didnt really want to deal with me.
I stay at the Hyatt down here during the week and every week when I check in and there are people waiting for their cars, I pull up and someone will take out their cell phone and take a picture. Everywhere I go people stop, look and point. Thus far I still think they are pointing at the car and not me.

Absolutly LOVE this machine.

I've owned 5 Bimmers in 11 years and the X6 is the head-turner of the group..

That includes my E46 M3 Cabriolet and an LCI E60 550i (both beautiful cars in their own right)
