E36 key

i lost the key chip so i cant start the engine .i have now new chip ,any way to program it ?

The only way I know is to take it to a dealer. Hopefully somebody out there knows a better way.

If you do not want to worry about it, I would go to a dealer with your VIN# and order a new one. Maybe take your key and chip, perhaps they won't charge you if you have the parts... but don't hold your breath.

not 100% sure, but try the key in the ignition, and turn it to ACC. do this 3 times quickly then press the unlock button.

i do not know if this works for the e36, but i work in a car battery shop, and it works on MOST other vehicles. its just a free thing to try.
