Pre-Rainy Season Hand Wash & Wax Photos

Gave my 2004 a "hand bath and wax" today in preparation for the upcoming rainy season.

Took a few pics - I think it is still looking pretty good for 5 years & 88K miles.

Showroom condition - and you have done nearly three times the miles I have!

To get all the black vinyl trim looking that good, you must have applied some "Back to Black", "Forever Black", "Black Chrome" or similar product?

I find that the lower edge of the tailgate gets quite scratched up - not from careless use, as it is quite uniform all along the full length.

Must be from swirling dust in my wake at high speeds.

I hope my BMW in NH looks as good after 5 years of salty winters!

How do you get the brake pad crap off the wheels? I got my rig used and the stuff seems permanently bonded, in 100's of little dots. Sombody sugested non-lye version of oven cleaner, but I haven't dared to try that yet, even though I bought some. My long time BMW owning buddy looked at it when I first got it and immediately said "I see it still has the BMW pads".
