Has anyone come up with a fix for M Coupe windows?

I just realized today that something I can't stand about M Coupe side windows is how they don't roll down all the way!

Is there any way to get them to be fully lowered into the door when rolled down as far as they will go? I don't have an M Coupe yet so I can't go out and measure the height of the window vs. the door, but assuming they would theoretically fit inside the door it should just be a mechanical issue, yes?

Anyone come up with a fix for this?

No, can't be done...

The windows of the MC are about 1 or 2 cm higher than those of the Roadster, so they physically can't be lowered flush with the door.

It really isn't a problem, and also helps prevent drivers from hanging their arm out of the window - IMO a no-no in a BMW.

If that is the only aspect you don't like about the MC, then you better get out and buy one asap...

You could say that that's probably my only pet peeve with M Coupes so far. Not that I have much seat time yet (probably around an hour), but I haven't found any other major flaws I can't deal with...

Besides the $200/month insurance...

Ithot the window thing would bother me, but I hardly notice it.

Buy and enjoy the car.

pops up

this subject pops up now and again.

I don't get it.

no issue for me.

I have no problem resting my arm occasionally on the door.

and the answer is ...NO
there is no way the windown will go down further unless you smash it and pour the bits down into the door.

sorry ... don't mean to be irrate. just imo

Thanks Gents. It's definitely not keeping me from buying an M Coupe...

It's sort of a cool design quirk: Roadster door with "taller" window because of the higher Coupe roof. BMW wasn't going to redesign the Z3 door to fit the Coupe window.

Yeah, after reading several different articles lately about the development of the M Coupe, I can definitely appreciate where they were coming from...

BTW Elfhearse I love your screenname. So appropriate...
