Unlit rear controls

Is it just me, or are the window switches and power outlet in the rear totally unlit at night? Looks like a huge oversight on BMW's part since now everything is pitch black at night.

Um... never was a passenger in the back seat of my car, so i never noticed this! I checked just now and confirmed that the window switches on the rear door are NOT lit

True indeed. I was just searching for the same topic!
My 330i is the same way. However my 1995 318i had back-lit window switches back there
so I don't know why BMW gave up on that.

Some say that was an overlook from the designers, but I've never seen any proof of that. I really think they did it on pourpose. They "remembered" on 07 on, I beleive. All cars I've owned had the rear switches lighted. Wait, I've had several with manual windows and the designer also forgot the light in the handle!

Time to break out the luminescent paint. I say big happy faces will do it.

Although I think my daugher is partial to "Hello Kitty" at this time.
