E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

winter tire question

I know this may sound crazy, but I have not owned a rear wheel drive car since my 1969 Ford mustang convertible(still love that car). I just got a new 325 ic 1987, and the previous owner gave me 2 studded snow tires for the rear. My question is in 2 parts:
1)shouldn't all four tires be the same?
2)do most people get an extra set of wheels(rims not sure which is pc)instead of swaping out the tires for winter/summer?

if you have mint rims that are very nice and dont want to mess them up then yeh most people have bottlecaps for the winter and nicer rims for summer driving
and the studded tires will do great on the rear, i have a set of winter treads i put on in the winter, as long and the front set match and the rear set match you should be fine

+1. but i dont like studded tires. the noise they make on pavement just irratate the **** out of me

i bought four non studded snow tires last winter, for $27 each and a set of used bottlecaps for IIRC $100, and drove all around colorado in february. The car handled great I would recommend this to anyone.
