2008 BMW X5 4.8i 20 Wheel RFT

What miles can I expect from Dunlop RFT 20in wheels? Also, which are preferred Dunlop Maxx or Bridgestone Dueler?
Would appreciate any input.

If you drive aggressively, possibly as few as 10-12000 miles... the tread depth new is not as deep as you might think either to begin with....

Well, I have 16,000 on the vehicle now and still have life in them. The Discount Tire folks estimated 5-6,000 miles more. Rears look good, fronts are getting worn a little more. I had run flats Bridgestone Potenza on my SC430 and at 30,000 miles still looked like new. I would like to know if fellow BMW X5 owner's have experiened the Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport RFT. Would apprecaite your input.

I have 07 X5 with Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport RFT, so far I have 36000 miles and looks like I can go on for another 10000 miles. However, not for this winter season!

According to the Tirerack customer reviews, the Dueler is tops for mileage. It is available in both run flat and non-flat versions.

Dunlops and michelins appear to last about 1/2 as long. (summer tire)

Do you have the 275 40/20 Front and 315 35/20 rear? Also I assume you have the 4.8i Sport package?

I spoke with the the folks at Micheln and inquired about the Latitude HP as a possible replacment tire. Unfortunately the rear tires they offer do not have the required weight rating ot 110W, so they would not recommend the tire for my vehicle. So that leaves 2 choices, the Dunlop or Bridgestone. Input so far and various reviews state that the Bridgestone gets the better mileage.

Michelin's website reccomends the Lattitude HPs...

Called Michelin and they Don't have a tire whatsoever that meets the X5's 20" REARs:
315/35R20/RF 110W
Original Equipment Rear

The front is available...

So, Cross that one off your lists, at least for now.

That is correct. The Bridgestone gets approx. 10K more miles than Dunlaps. My Dunlaps went at 22K with aggressive NY driving and highway use. The Bridgestone's that are on my car now have about 31K and are roaring and worn, but will get another 1K before replacing them.

Either way, I wish someone would introduce 315/40 All seasons....275's exist, but not 315....then we could get 40K....

I think we might be in luck. When I spoke to Micheln tecnical rep, I mentioned to him that I would really like an all seaon in the wide tire size. He indicated they might be coming out with a solution in the near future but would not commit. I tried.

I received a quote from Discount Tire on the Bridgestones. It was about $1400.00 installed and including tax. The Dunlops are $2050.00.

I'm going to try the Bridgestones in about 5,000 miles.

Check with Firestone...they are cheaper and Discount will match the price!

Went to Sears, they are cheaper than Firestone.

I also have those tires on my 2007 X5 and I have 12000 kms (7000 miles) on them. They look like new. Actually, they are new.

Well, at 24,100 miles I replaced the Dunlops with Dueller Brigdestone RFT. They look great and the ride is very good. The final price on the Duellers was $1147.00 which included a $100.00 rebate from Bridgestone. I purchased them from Firestone. We'll see how much mileage I can get.

I just replaced my Deuhler's at 22K and also purchased from Bridgestone. Love the car but hate the RFT's
