Bluetooth doesn't pair anymore

I have a 2005 X3 3.0i. Bluetooth was working fine with my Motorola phone and then I tried pairing it with my iPhone 3Gs. That worked too. But then neither phone would pair. I tried unplugging the cable in the back to the TCU. That didn't work. Any ideas?

Perhaps you have too many phones paired? You can try to delete all and start again.

Have you done any update to the iPhone lately? That happened to me just after I updated to OS 3.1, and what I did was delete the partnership and do the discovery thing again. But since the Moto phone is not working either that sound suspicious. Try what Maduro said by all means.

Likewise. I have a 2006 BMW X3 and a 1G iPhone. It used to pair perfectly every time, but now I need to "reactivate" the pairing manually each time I get in the car. I mean, on the iPhone I go to Settings, BlueTooth, and activate that particular connection.
I'm going to try deleting the pairing altogether and re-establish it. I'll let you know...

There are none paired. I can't seem to get any phone to pair anymore.

I have a 2006 X3 manufactured in May of 06. My iPhone 3G worked great for over a year and then it stopped! I could not pair it to the car again, after many attempts I went to the dealership and was informed that X3's manufactured BEFORE September of 2006 won't work. WHY DID IT WORK FOR OVER A YEAR?? I was told that it may work for awhile but they are not compatible. If anyone has a work around - please share. The blue tooth on my phone won't find the car.
