Am I crazy to want to sell b/c of idrive and ipod?

I'm hitting my one year mark with my '06 E66. Simply gorgeous! Cruises much better that my '07 3er. But... I commute I-95 weekly and the lack of iDrive traffic is killing me. I've gotten over the caveman-like intuitiveness we have all griped about despite being left in a parking lot trying to enter in addresses while my Garmin buddies are 5 mins ahead of me. But while sitting in traffic I start to steam about my own understanding about the iPod integration kit that I think is likely a waste of $$. At least with my 3 series I could use the AUX jack, and still have access to my iPhone to read (not respond) to emails and texts.

I don't see a solution to replace my iDrive.

What good solution is there for the iPhone - or am I better off buying an iPod to leave in the glove box?

I'm starting to think that a new F10 is the way to go. If you feel my pain, what is your workaround?

If it is that important why not just buy a Garmin or if you have Verizon wait for the new Droid phone. A whole lot cheaper than taking the hit on buying a new car.

Can't do it... having a garmin on top of the idrive... like stacking my new tv on the old one. Gotta say, love the car, hate the tech. It's been said before.
