Please Help!!!
I have a 95 318i and my speedo nor my MPG are working!!
 Can anybody give me an idea as to where to start? Fortunately my buddy has the same car but a 97 and got me to buy this one. I am very mechanically inclined but that is only with domestic cars here in the US. I love this car and now know that I will be buying nothing but BMW's form here on out!!!  P.S. This is an amazing site for expanding my knowledge on BMW's!!!

My guess would be that either the speed sensor is bad or the wire broke off at some point along the way.

also ask on the ot threat for a bentley manual, someone should have the pdf version, i know i did.

I have the same issue, however since I use my GPS for the speedo... Long story short, Bboy is right, the only other option is to unplug the speed sensor from the rear diff and clean up the connections which tend to corrode. It's a white connector located on the bottom centre of the rear diff.

my spedo works but my mpg dosent work so i will try and clean that sensar
