As best I can tell the Treo 750 will make and receive calls perfectly, but the address book will not sync with the car.

The LG Xenon (GR500) from ATT works perfectly with my '08 535i. This is the first phone that I've had that has transferred the address book.

Verizon BB TOUR (9630) problems with 535i
I am having the same problems that a couple of others have been having with the BB TOUR (Verizon). I also have a BB 8330 that works perfectly fine. I looked at the software installed on both and the 8330 appears to have version 4.3.x.x and the Tour has 4.7.x.x.
It is very annoying - almost unusable as the car will recognize the TOUR but upon pairing, assumes tha the TOUR is on and won't allow the radio/Sat/iPOD to work - it shuts down the speakers.... If I make a quick call then hang up, the radio et al comes back. When I make a call and subsequently hang up, the display in the 535i shows that the phone is still on a call. I do get my entire address book in the display on the 535i, but it seems that connect and disconnect signals through Bluetooth aren't going across properly? Anyone have any thoughts? I just got the Tour and love the phone, but the 8330 (World) isn't that far behind it in terms of features and quality - and it works on the 535i.... Are there different versions of Bluetooth that could cause this problem? Thanks |

It worked fine like a charm on the first day. I used the Voice navigation on Droid today for the first time and then got in to a problem with some software crash. Now Bluetooth won't work. I've restarted the phone, re - paired it, nothing helps. It pairs up for a minute and then I get an error message on the phone and the icons displaying phone signal disappear from the iDrive display. Has anyone else had similar problem with their 2008 528i ? |

I've just tried connecting my new Droid to my car via bluetooth and have encountered a problem. The phone paired ok and the phonebook sync'd fine. The problem is that I don't get any sound when making a call. The call connects and people can hear me talking but I can't hear anything unless I use the phone. I previously had my Razor connected and it worked like a champ. Previous owner of the car had a iPhone connected with no problems. If I connect with the razor, it works correctly. Any ideas?

Blackberry Tour works
I have had 3 different Blackberry phones in last 3 years: 2 on AT&T and now Tour on Verizon. Each has connected easily via Bluetooth to 2006 530 xi and 2009 M3. I really only want to use the handsfree app so I can't say if all the various address books, etc work along with the voice recognition. After reading this thread, I may have to get more interested in that!

My Verizon Curve inexplicably began downloading a part of my address book to the car. I have 2010 535i XDrive. For the first month, the Bluetooth handsfree function worked flawlessly, but none of my contacts transferred.

Just tried my new ATT Blackberry 9700 with my 07 750i. It will connect, but very slowly, and you cant use the cars keypad or the address book. What a bummer. Anyone have a workaround? Is there some way to pair the blackberry and NOT download the phonebook?

Anyone know if the LG Envy Touch works well? (Does phonebook load?) Or the Chocolate Touch. Time for new phone and these are in consideration.
Thanks! |

Hi, I'm new here and hoping this is a good place to post this.
I just picked up an 07 525 with idrive and I have an iphone 3Gs and my husband has my old iphone 3G. Both phones will connect, pull up contacts, caller ID etc... but my phone (the 3Gs) will not reconnect once I've exited the car. It remains paired, but requires me to re-pair it, creating additional listings for it in the bluetooth menu, every time I want to reconnect. My husbands phone however works just fine. In fact, if we pull into the driveway at the same time and are on the phone with each other, his phone will just automatically connect to the bmw. This is so not fair! It's my car! Anyone have an idea why this is happening or what I can do to fix it? |

AT&T Tilt 2 and the 2007 BMW 328i
Hi everyone. Thinking about purchasing a new phone and want to make sure it's compatible with the bluetooth in my car. Has anyone tried syncing the AT&T Tilt 2 with bluetooth in a 2007 BMW 328i?

Droid with a cradle?
I have a Moto E815 now, with the built-in cradle. Works great and it's always charged.
I'm switching to a Droid in the next few days, and I'm wondering (1) if there is any chance the Droid will use the same cradle, and (2) (knowing #1 is prolly no) what do I do with the cradle? Is there any way to get it charged from the cradle? Or is the cradle just dead plastic now? Thanks.

Droid works perfectly.
Quote:
There was an OTA update pushed in early DEC that should have fixed that problem. Other than that, the Droid works perfectly. ONE OTHER THING. somehow the Droid was able to capture all of the data for my Facebook contacts in my phonebook. Some contacts only had their email addresses displayed on FB, yet the droid was able to locate their home and cell phone numbers as well. WEIRD. |
