'07 Z4: The Ultimate Travel Mug?

Yes - I saw the issue with the coffee spill and thought someone may have an answer for my question.

Does anyone know of a specific travel mug that actually fits well in the Z4 cup holders?

I like my coffee on the way to work in the morning. I usually get stuck in a bit of traffic, so I have time to drink the coffee. The travel mugs that I usually use have too high of a CG and tend to till/spill everytime I corner.

Just thought someone else might have had the same problem.

The Z4's cupholders seem to work best with cylindrical containers like soda cans and water bottles, rather than tapered like your typical take-out cup.

My travel mug will fit in the cup holder but it is certainly not secure. I bought the OE cup holder that mounts to the center console and it works perfectly. It's ~90.00 from the dealer and mounts in one minute. Search www.getbmwparts.com for the item.

This is actually an awesome price(I paid $10 for hers).

It is amazingly leak proof. You have to press the button to open it and if it accidentally falls on the floor, no spill at all. Not sure about how it fits in the Z4's holders as my wife drives a Q7. I don't drink in my car.

I had a coffee spill just 2 days ago that had nothing to do with the cupholder. Safest bet, don't drink coffee in the car. Second safest bet, get that cupholder he just posted. that thing looks amazing! definitely picking that up for a couple people on the christmas list. third, get the Ultimate Cupholders. They work WAY better than the stock cupholders.

but the original thought is : the 2009 z4 IS the ultimate travel mug, as opposed to ultimate driving machine. hahahahhahaha
