Comfort access not working
I can open and lock the door with the remote by hitting the buttons. But if I just try to open the door or start the car with fob in my pocket it doesn't work. And yes, I replaced the battery.

you probably need to have the key reprogrammed. I recieved a new key from the dealer and they forgot to program it for comfort access. So it will lock unlock open trunk etc with the buttons and will start the car when you insert the key in the slot but it will not start with comfort access or open with comfort access

turn the car on and off, then put the key in the slot and hold it in for approx ten seconds. Then start and shut off the car. Comfort access should start working; at least this is what my SA did on my 7.

Had this issue last week, and I read a post here or on another board to go into the trunk - right side - open cover to fuse rack and look for the key fob symbol on the fuse rack (there are 3 fuses - can't remember the numbers offhand) and push the fuses in firmly. For some reason, 2 of the 3 fuses were slightly loose . . . that solved the problem.
