Wistling noise from ceiling
Hi Everyone..
I finally decided to register in your great forum. I have a 2005 X5 4.4 equipped with the large moon roof. At speeds passed 70mph, a progressively louder noise sounding like a boiling kettle develops in the ceiling. Initially I thought is was coming from the sunroof, but accidentally found out that it is actually coming from inside of the ceiling (between the roof and the interior ceiling. If I grab the edge of the interior opening for the sun roof and pull it down slightly, or even pull down on one of the sun visors the noise stops!!! If I push on any part of the ceiling forward of sunroof opening, the noise gets louder! Has anyone had this problem, and knows how to fix it ,short of taking it to the dealership?
