Adding options after purchase - 2009 750Li
I just picked up my 2009 750li and got a good deal, but was hoping to add a few options. Does anyone know if you can add the OEM rear entertainment system and the ceramic dials or do they have to be built on the car?

The OEM rear entertainment system CAN NOT be added, but the ceramic iDrive controller possibly but it would not be cheap.

Just curious if you really wanted rear entertainment then why didn't you pick one with it? Is your new car used or CPO?

Great question Joe-BMW. My car is new. I originally was looking for one with all of the options that I wanted, but found I was not able to negotiate on cars with the rear entertainment system. The price difference was far greater than the cost of the option. I was willing to sacrifice the entertainment system for the cost savings.

I think it would be waay too expensive an option to add to a car that didnt come with it even if u could. Maybe be best to let it go.
