"Passenger Restraint System Failure”
I have a 2007 328i. today I started the car and when the passenger got it a warning came on the idrive screen. "Passenger Restraint System Failure.” the seat belt sign along with my airbag sign are red (lighted), and the lights stay on all the time, even when both seatbelts are on. I restarted the car and the message when away, but came on next time.
I have been able to search out that the problem is most likely the seat's mat detector- and has been recalled by BMW but not for me. My question, has anyone had this problem covered by BMW CPO warranty? I have not had to use the warranty before and all the "what is and what is not covered" seems vague. Any help is great! |

It should definitely be covered under warranty.

its covered
I got same problem on my 2007 335i and went to the dealer. It took them a day (depends on their volume) and I was not charged anything. Depends if you got the warranty or not.

That is defiantly covered under warranty. You should have it looked at sooner than later.
