Roundel Disintegration?

So when I was at the factory the emblems were all good. I remember because I was taking pictures of the Z in front of the Zentrum.

So I get home and the blue and white has come off the roundel on the passenger side 10 hours later.

I accidentally ordered new ones, so I have a spare, but I wonder what causes this to happen.

I didn't pay a lot more when I bought a couple sets of black gills with the roundels already attached.

faded or peeled off?

My side roundel was peeled while at the dealer. The gave me a new one but I had to put it on. I attempted the dental flosstechinque but ended up dremeling the badge off in pieces.

Both are non-M. If/when I ever get my top painted, I plan to have one of the sets filled and painted at the same time. I thought it might be cool to try non-M gills sometime.
