2007 x3 speaker screens ?

I got a question for somebody. How do i clean the speaker screen that covers my speakers ?. It looks like dust , but it just wont clean up. Maybe its on the other side. Do they come off? I have a bmw 2007 x3 si. Thanks !

The screens are part of the whole door. This is not uncommon to vehicles nowadays.

Cleaning should only be done with a micro fiber damp towel. Maybe a little simple green but nothing sprayed on the mesh itself.
