I want Nav
Hello guys,
I don't have navigation in my 6 serie... Can I put in the original one if I want? Maybe from a totaled car? Thanks for the information.

You probably would be better off with an after-market system.

get yourself a garmin or tomtom, to add an OEM sysytem will be very costly if it can be done.

Hello,
I have a aftermarket system, bud I don't like it on the windscreen... So I was thinking to build in a OEM system from a car that is totaled, if it is possible.

It won't be easy. At a minimum, you would need the system unit, a DVD drive for the navigation software, and a reprogramed iDrive. Then there's the cost.

the oem navigation is not the best... difficult to use and takes getting used to... some people use an aftermarket nav even if they have factory nav...
the newer garmins are much better... you can always put with a suction cup on the console above the radio vs on the dash... but I know what you mean... it just looks different... best option is to trade in your car for another if you can find a good deal in belgium an option may be to buy an aftermarket automotive gps unit (kenwood, alpine, etc) and feed the video from that into the idrive screen (do you have a screen?) operation will be through a provided remote control... there are adaptors that allow you to feed video into the factory idrive screen
