NEW battery died AGAIN

I had the battery die on me last may the dealer came out to me and installed a new one, we have had temps down to the mid to low 30's over the last few days and I go out this morning and she's dead. I managed to get her jump started and got her into the dealership, they said they would get it sorted but I must say I am a bit dissapointed.

Well thats my rant, I feel better now LOL

30's...it was 4 degrees when I woke up this morning, but my 6'er is in the garage for the winter and my killer Nissan Sentra SE-R has winter duties lol...I hope the dealership works it out for you, I fee you plain.

deltran battery charger? I got mine from amazon and it was on sale... works great for me...

I agree it's pitiful to have a car drain the battery just like that... but that's why they are selling chargers...

Thats what I thought, I spoke to the dealership and they said they have it on test for a drain on the battery and it may take a couple of days I miss her already.

Update

The dealership called, they said there was an "intermtant dead cell in the battery" and they have to put a new battery on, the only problem is that apparently the 6 takes a specialist battery and they are on back order and there are none available, they cannot even give me an expected delivery date for a new one!!
If that isn't enoigh they didn't even give me a BMW as a loaner, they gave me a Chevy HHR, it's not too bad, but it's not exactly a Bimmer if you know what I mean, they gave me a choice a HHR or a Nissan Versa.
I know they don't have to give us any car at all and it is purely a courtesy car but you would think that they would keep you in a BMW.
We were going to get my son a BMW for his first car, something like a X3 or a 3 series but he says he really likes the HHR and he would rather have one of those for a first car so it looks like the dealership lost a sale!

Curious on the status/update of your case.

-- Did you get a new battery? And if so, was it covered under warranty or did they make you pay?
-- When they ran their diagnosis, did any fault codes return (e.g. kl15 or infrequent driving profile, etc)

I'm curious how BMW is handling your case because I'm currently having battery issues on my less than 10 month old 6er. BMW's response to the situation has been surprising so far (and not in a good way)

Thanks.

When my '08 6er had a battery failure at 15 months, BMW replaced it under warranty but told me to get a BMW charger to keep it charged. Because I am an infrequent driver (twice a week, sometimes once a week), I have a volt meter and can measure the voltage on the battery. From fully charged, it can go to 25% charge in only four days. It is garage kept so it never gets to freezing temps. I'd like to think that BMW would engineer something to last at least 7-10 days between charges. Something should be done at BMW to fix this. I see a lot of posts on the subject.

Temps houldn't matter enough to kill batteries like that; its been under 10 degrees almost everyday here, the car is garaged of course, but its well under 32 degress in their as well...my 6er is my daily driver; starts right up every day, has a few odd problems due to the weather, like iDrive screen will be dim somedays, and odd error messages, due to battery not liking the weather. but definately shouldn't be killing it every couple months

Yes they replaced it under warranty, they just said that there was a dead cell in the battery, the same as my last battery??
It is my daily drive so I don't think would have had a case about it not being driven enough.
Lets see how long this battery lasts.
