2000 528i Power steering pump replacement
Hi everyone.
This is my first post and I need some help today as I decide if Im going to purchase a 2000 528i. Upon inspection I heard what at first I thought was valve noise coming from the top and slightly right (drivers) of the engine....But after listening with a stethascope (sp) it sounded like the noise might be coming from the PS pump. It seems to travel to the PS plastic container. I have read about the vanos and don't think it is vanos rattle (noise) but may be wrong. The car has 144K and very well taken care of. What experiences have you had like this? Also if it is PS Pump, then how much money to have a shop replace it? Estimated mechanics hours Thanks in advance for your replys! Im happy to find a great BMW community online!!! -Jeff Last edited by fiveseriespilot; 02-21-2010 at 01:04 PM. Reason: spelling |
