Satellite Radio question

My car does not have the option listed on the window sticker. A few days after I got the car I realized that it had the option for it in my radio menu and when clicked it said call to subscribe etc. I had a few months left on the subscription from my old 7 so I transferred it over.

Ok now here's the question does every 7 come with it installed minus the subscription? If so why is there the "Satellite radio with 1 year subscription " option for $350 dollars on the website. If you highlight the option it proceeds to say "BMW customers will be the first to enjoy a 12-month trial subscription" insinuating that the subscription is free and its the satellite configuration you are paying for in the car. If it comes in every car then basically they are charging you $350 for a Sirius one year subscription, which costs much less from Sirius themselves. If it is not built into every car then, although my sticker doesn't show it, I should be entitled to a free year, no?

Either way I am very confused LOL. Maybe someone has some insight.

No insight, but that's interesting. I always assumed that you had to check that option in order to have SIRIUS pre-installed.

I've always known it to be an option that you have to pay for extra. You can try calling Sirius and telling them that you didn't get your free year and see if they will add 12 months to your subscription.
