My sunroof was closed fine on my 2002 330xi, but today when I tried to move it back it moved only a few inches and then started making a clicking noise. Then when I tried to move it back forward, only one side closes correctly and the other seems to be stuck a little behind closing. Could one sides motor be broken or a gear strripped? What is the most likely problem and solution?

nah i think your sunroof is fine. The sunroof cover is the thing that is broken. The clips have come off and are probably on the tracks which makes it difficult to shut.

Delmarco did the sunroof repair in terms of the sunshade that gets stuck and causes the glass to have a problem closing. He made a thread about it in detail on what to do.

One side of my sunroof no longer is moved my the motor. I just took the window out and forced the track back into the sealed position and I'll forget about using the sunroof. To expensive to get fixed, and it seems to risky to fix my self. I also pulled the fuses out so no passenger can try to open it. Problem ignored.
