no power steering!

bought 03 325i 30000 miles somewhat wrecked {passenger front wheel suspension gone} replaced steering rack , and power steering pump ,aftermarket, still no power steering , is there a check valve i am missing ? or crappy pump,castrol fluids and raised wheels left to right but nothing? thanks brad

Did you replace the reservoir? Maybe the filter in it's clogged? If I recall the hollow bolt from the pressure hose to the rack is a kind of one-way check valve. I don't know if the other one is the same. Maybe you reversed the two when you did the rack. Did you bleed the system correctly?
