There will be a caravan, but I will be handing this over to Kris Linquist's capable hands.
I'm not sure if I will be going this year and Kris has always offered to help me with everything, so I took him up on his offer. I'm sure Kris will chime in here and direct folks to either a new thread, or revise my thread on what's to come. I will assist Kris in a smooth transition and forsee no problem's with the caravan continuing.

Since I live in the South Bay, the first meeting point may not be as far north as Pleasanton. Probably a quick stop somewhere here in San Jose and then the main stop in Gilroy.

Hell Kris, you might even skip San Jose and everyone can just descend on Gilroy.

Yep, might just do that.

I think the main point to Gilroy was to have a regroup spot, close by the freeway, South of where everyone's drives had originated.

The folks coming from the East Bay don't really want to drive into downtown San Jose or over to the Almaden, and the same is probably true of those coming from the peninsula and points North. The Santa Cruz and Monterey folks definitely do not want to head North to San Jose to begin their day.

(d'oh - read the whole thread, Cliff. Intermediate gathering spots will probably continue as in years past. Pleasanton was one. The Sac folks had another. Not sure about the Santa Rosa and Marin folks, but they probably did too. Those would continue to be organized by interested parties, with the goal being arriving in Gilroy by such and such a time.)

Do you have any recommendations/hook-ups as for lodging in the area?

Sounds good.. lodging near Gilroy? I don't have any specific options, but you've got tons of choices within 30 minutes... Gilroy, Morgan Hill, San Jose.. easy to find something along the 680 or 101 corridor.

I'm in for the northbay caravan. Last years Larkspur spot was perfect, vote we start there again!

Got myself an addition to the stable, E36 M3/4 Please let us know of the details.
