AddVehicle on BMWUSA

Hi,

Question for festers who placed ED order for 2011:

Can you register your production number on BMWUSA.com ? Getting rejects.

Initial ED reservation was on 30 Jan

My EDs are confirmed for 5/7 pickup, and the bmwusa website is still not taking the production #s.

Also called the 800 # which is supposed to provide more updated information, but it still says "scheduled for production with no confirmed production date yet".

Ditto for me too. It will not accept my production number which I have had for a couple of weeks now.

Also remember to ask your CA for the production week.

after almost a month receiving my production number, BMW's site still doesn't accept it? The error states something to the affect of "..your car is not in production yet..."

Well I know that, as it's 2 months out?

Anyone have similar problems or when should they recognize my P- number?

My production number comes up, but after almost 10 days, it still shows as a 2011 128i and not a 2011 335i. It's a shame that system is so behind. It's basically useless.

The system accepted my production number a couple of weeks back

I received my production number for my M3 on Feb9th and still cannot add it.

Yay, did you just go to bmwusa account and use Add/Remove Vehicle link?

What bothers me is that anybody can register dummy account and punch in random production numbers. There must be some kind of validation (e.g. address matching). I may be dealing with some kind of account data mismatch.

I have a previous account login from my M5 and other BMWs. I can login, see my previous car and still not add it. When I call the 1-800 number and enter my production code, it recognizes it but says it is not in production (as I would expect). Just still slightly worried until the day I get there and see it sitting there....then again Adrian is doing my ED....I'm in good hands.

same here. maybe it has something to do with 2011s not being in production yet???

Not sure about that, since my production number comes up as a 2011 128i when it should be a 2011 335i.

I guess complaining here helps! The site finally accepted my production number today and correctly shows the car I ordered.

I don't think they do any matching. You can basically call the 800 automated system and check the vehicle status on any vehicle with a production #. It's like an UPS tracking # you can just check for any package with a tracking #.

My cars are scheduled to be built in the week of 16, and the system would not take the #s yet. However, I've seen someone's 2011s already started production and could track it on the website. I suppose he had a early build week.

So, the relevant question is, what is your scheduled production week?

Just got email from bmwusa.com:

Usually you cannot track the production of European Delivery vehicles on bmwusa.com.

Your vehicle will not start production until the end of March / beginning of April. European Delivery vehicles are built in 2 weeks due to the lack of storage space at the BMW Welt.

It took 2 months, but I added my May-build European Delivery production number yesterday!

Mine shows up now!!

Mine is still rejecting it..... I suppose to pick up my car in a month..... I sure hope she will be there waiting for me. In the past this thing was pretty instant.

I just found this thread when searching google for why I can't track my car, and then found a page here that says the following:

The number is 1-800-831-1117; say “Vehicle Production Status” and then read out your production number.

It's been a month since I ordered my 2011 E90, and even though I couldn't add it on the site the phone confirmed it is at the port waiting for a ship. Now I need to google to figure out how to find and track the ship it comes over on.

Dont know how I missed this. Yes I just added my vehicle using the addvehicle link on bmwusa. I popped in the production number and 2011 335i coupe just popped up. It still shows "on order" though for the past month or so
