My deposit has gone through and my order has been placed. I'm eagerly waiting confirmation of my delivery date in Munich.
I ordered the sedan in Silverstone Metallic with black leather, the premium package, the tech package, and the competition package, along with a couple of other options. I got a tremendous deal from David Aviles at Passport BMW. |

Get ready for some fun on the autobahn.
Also, you may end up with a collector, if rumours are true and there will not be any more M3 sedans after 2011.

been there done that, stick to the back roads for the first 1200 miles then have the proper service done and let her out, but not before the service. More than enough fun on the back roads and the perfect way to break in the engine. Arrange for the service before you leave and all will be fine.

I'm stoked! I am fairly anal about following break-in suggestions, and that's one of the reasons I'm glad for the opportunity to put some miles on the M3 before it comes home.
I've also read that there will be no sedan in the next M3. In a weird way, it kind of makes sense, but I'm glad BMW has it now. |

Have the sales of M3 sedans been that poor?

I've no clue! It may be sacrilege to compare this situation with the Jetta/Golf, but VW used to pull this all the time with creating souped-up versions of the two-doors and not the four-doors.
