Those pesky calls from Europe

A new cheap way to make those calls to and from Europe using your cell phone, iPhone, Ipod Touch, PC or Mac

I am familiar with the package and just started testing it. You can also load Skype onto your iPhone or iPod touch and you can also put Skype on some BlackBerry smartphones.

The only problem is that you will only be able to place and receive calls when you are connected to a WLAN.

If you have a jailbroken iPhone (like I do) you can make Skype calls over 3G with the 3G Unrestrictor application works great!

+1 There are several WiFi "3G emulation" programs for iPhone, or install and use Fring, which works over 3G without the need of jailbreaking iPhones.

Not necessarily better but different. Different UI and Skype has slightly different functionality.

Looks like it works over 3G, while Skype still requires WiFi without additional methods to overcome this "feature".
However, here is where Skype clearly wins:

"Line2 service costs $15 a month (after a 30-day free trial)."
