2011 x6

What improvements are we expecting for 2011? I hope that the lheadlights get the LED turnsignals, also I hope the rear tail lights get the "light bars".

Other subtle changes for the 2011 X6 include the addition of lane-departure warning ($950) and active cruise control ($2400) as stand-alone options and the bundling of side-view cameras into the Technology package. The base prices will remain unchanged, at $57,375 for the 35i and $68,075 for the 50i.

It's safe to say that when I fill out the questionnaire at the dealership, I can check off "within the next year" for my next expected purchase. I'm brainstorming how to get out of the car in my SIG (which I still LOVE, but I want MORE.....BMW), and into an X6 XD35. I love that I don't see the X6 nearly as often as the X5. I know of only 1 X6 in my community. I was in love with the F10, but by next summer they will be everywhere as well...to include the eurocar rental agency near my work. For me it just comes down to some sense of uniqueness, and honestly I think that having a "6" of either body stylel provides just a wee bit more exclusivity than anything of a lesser model designation. I mean really, the only thing above the 6 series is the 7 which I would never be on the market for.

I priced out the X6 xDrive35 at $62020 through BMW-Military Sales (2010 price sheet). I'm doing this one right.

I am not sure about the turn signals, but don't the rears already have the light bars?

Mechanically new for 2011 is the TwinScroll Turbo N55 engine for the 35i and the 8-Speed transmission for both the 35i and 50i.

I'm talking about the light bars similar to the 2011 5er 7er and 3er.

The straight lines are indicative of the "older" models

One step closer, I'm securing financing from my bank online and waiting for the CA to call me ref: trading my 3er in on the X6

I'm 95% sure that the correct answers are no and yes, respectively.

Does anyone know what commands can be voice activated in the 2011 x6? I know you can't simply say an address for the navi to find it. how about phone numbers and climate control?

The owner's manual has a section on voice commands in the "Reference" section. You can download it from the bmwusa website.

Yes, you can use voice to dial phone numbers. And I believe there is at least limited access to the climate-control functions via voice.

And while you can't "simply" say an address, the voice entry procedure of a street address for navigation worked better on the 2010 X5 I test-drove than any other car I've ever tried.

Thanks. So how do you enter an address by voice on X6? I drive Infiniti M45 and it's very easy to enter an adress while driving by voice.
