Pulled the Trigger on the F10
On the 550 I ordered the following packages: Sport, Dynamic Handling, Premium 2, Driver Assistance, Cold Weather, and Convenience. I also ordered the sport automatic transmission, HUD, split folding rear seats, active cruise control, integral active steering, smart phone integration. It will be Space Grey Metallic, Venetian Beige Dakota Leather, Dark Wood Trim, and the Anthracite Headliner. If the beige headliner is available in the US, I'll possibly get that in lieu of the Anthracite Headliner. I am doing Euro Delivery with a delivery date of July 13 at the BMW Welt.
I got a great deal, actually better than I had anticipated. Plus no nonsense and silly games. F10 pricing and lease rates will be out by the end of this month according an internal BMW document. If the pricing or rates aren't quite what I am looking for, I'll modify my order at that time. The only reservation that I have about the 550 is the gas mileage. If the spread is too large once the official gas mileage is released. I may revert to the 535. What I really wanted was the 535d.

Elmhurst BMW in suburban Chicago. Josh Douglas was the CA. They were awesome to work with.

Elmhurst does a pretty good job, but I'm just curious why you didn't use Irv who is a sponsor and probably one of the most experienced ED CA's in the country.

I did 2 Euro Deliveries with Motor Werks plus 1 other BMW lease on an office car for an employee. I was told multiple things that were deceitful that inflated Motor Werks profit by over $2,000 on a 3 year Euro Delivery lease. They tried to do it the second time and BMW stepped and sent them a letter telling them that they can't do that. Motor Werks does have a superb service department.
Euro Delivery is not that complicated and BMW has excellent, well documented procedures that are easy to follow. I am not a believer of ghost stories that BMW Euro Delivery is a complicated procedure that requires extensive experience. I had a very smooth purchase experience at Elmhurst BMW. They were straightforward and truthful. They didn't wasted my time with silly games. Josh Douglas at Elmhurst BMW gave me a better deal that what Irv currently offers on Euro Delivery. I do business with people that are trustworthy and offer competitive pricing.

I would agree that MW does charge more than some other dealerships, esp Elmhurst. However, I'm not sure if that is Irv's fault or if there is anything he can do. Motorwerks tends to mark up every possible thing outside of the "$ over invoice" from which the CA's see no commission.

Based on pharding's recommendation, I just placed my 535i order with Josh Douglas. He's a great guy to work with and very knowledgeable. I've got a tentative pickup day of July 5th in Welt!

Congratulations kwoolf1 on the purchase of a great car with great European delivery experience from a great BMW dealership at a great price. It does not get any better than that.

The dealer can add it as a Priority 1 Option. He/she will know the code.
