Is there any final word on what IS supposed to be included in BMW Search (whether or not for subscription)?!?! Were CNN and Market updates a test or are they here to stay? I could care less about the concierge guy who chats with you as you drive along. But some of the additional info sources available might be worth $199/ yr.
And dunno know if there are any BMW product people that ever troll this forum, but from what is saw on the glimpse of BMW Search that I got last week: -Market news is cool but would be even great if you could add your own portfolio; -CNN News was interesting but would be better if more than 2 sentences per articles were available; -Weather was cool but would be great if you could get weather maps (radar is worth a thousand words); -Google based business search was pretty cool but somewhat redundant of the info database that already included w/ navi--would be REALLY cool if you could do a google search generally (not limited just to business search); and -the email location function is cute although I'm not sure how frequently I'd ever use it.

I should have mentioned that I did pay the $199 for the year.

Yeah, I have the subscription (although my dealer paid for it). I still don't have CNN.

You want someone to know where you are, just sign up for Google Maps Latitudes--FREE. I have it on my Droid & Ozone smartphones, can see where other family members are (we all signed up free).
