Bluetooth Madness - 04 325
When I initially bought my wife her CPO 04 325 Ci Vert in Dec 05, it came with Assist which we decided we would never use, so a friend who worked at Bloomfield BMW installed the upgraded ULF, antenna and booster. And all was right with the world with her RAZR phone. Recently, the service was up and she was entitled to a new phone, so she selected the eNV3. Brought it home, tried to pair it with the pairing button we installed at the time of the ULF. No good. Took it to Verizon, candidly they were helpless as Hindu cows, took it to my dealer (OpenRoad on Rte 1). Their reply was that the ULF/04 setup would only work with a small list of phones and I was basically SOL when it came to getting her new phone to work.
Well that went over like a fart in church, so I've seeking advice as to whether I should buy a TCU (at a cost of over $400), since I don't know what version the ULF is, I could try upgrading it to a more current ULF, but these are expensive choices when I'm not sure of the answer. Is there anyone who has had success with an EnV3, and if so which TCU/ULF do I need to make this work? Thanks Ed in NJ |

Not to resurrect an old thread, but what was your result? I also have an '04 325 and I am interested in adding bluetooth to it. I'd like to get a used OEM module and install it, but I dont' know whether different BMW model modules are interchangable nor which work with my eNV3. Any help here would be appreciated
