Which part is this?

Does anyone know the part number or where can I get a replacement for this?

Or should I just sand it down?

What happened? Is it a defect or something that the warranty could cover?

I am going to the dealership today to see if they will replace it for me.

I will keep you posted if anyone is having the same problem.

I had mine replaced by the dealer...
The finish started to come off the mechanism that opens the console..
Not sure on the price mine was done under warranty. Bet you could do it yourself.

Nice, I still have CPO, so they should replace it for me. The same is happening at the steering wheel.

mine is doing the same thing, although not as bad.

I had this problem :

a few minutes with your thumb just rubbing it and all the rubber coating comes off leaving just the black plastic... looks perfect no one will notice the difference

will they replace the steering wheel that's starting to become shiny from the heating element (heated steering)

i was wondering the same. mine looks pretty warped and i dont use lotion and barely drive the car

wow thats pretty worn, how did u manage to do that....

I had my heated steering wheel replaced under the CPO warranty and the also replaced the gear shifter because the stainless steal finnish was pealing on it.
So they should replace that with no problems IMO
