Check engine light - iDrive says increased emissions
Anyone have this pop up. Just wondering what might be causing this issue. After 65,000 miles this is the first thing to ever happen to my ride. I am thinking bad gas but I could be wrong.
Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Did you check the oil level recently? If you didn't seat the dipstick properly, it will throw an error. It could be a lot of things, however.

Mine is doing the same thing.... Going to dealership tomorrow... It did happen as soon as I got an oil change though......

Mine was sensor. When I got it, my SA said, ride out a tank of gas first - could just be bad gas.

This gets my vote. I just shipped my car and it was on the boat for over 30 days in a container. Fuel level was really low and that gas has been sitting there the whole time. I am going to try riding out a full tank and see if it goes away.

Well the car has been fixed. Apparently when the battery died while the car was being shipped the code was because of that. We reset the codes and after driving around a few days to fully charge the battery the code has not returned. My 6er is still the most dependable car I have owned to date.
