Ordered 2011 x5 diesel need help!!!!

I'm new to BMW, this will be my first..

Put a deposit down on a 2011 x5 diesel with the following options; black saphire metallic, cinnamon brown leather, cold weather, premimum, running boards, roof rails, dark Burl walnut trim, NAV, satellite radio, iPod and USB adaptor.....

Since this is MY11, dealership didn't have any swatches on the new cinnamon brown color, but I need to know what the interior will look like, I'm concerned that all of the interior will be brown, I want the leather to be cinnamon along with door panels but the rest I want to be black (i.e carpet) but no one knows...

Any respond would be appreciated

There are pictures on Outpost, I think. The X5 that was debuted in NY has the cinnamon and it seemed to be as you described it - brown where they used to have saddle and black otherwise. I also ordered cinnamon on the same assumption about the rest of the interior being black.

Here is a link to the visualizer:

It looks like with cinnamon, the lower parts are black. However, it shows the lower parts are black with tobacco too, but they certainly aren't in real life (at least in the 2010s, perhaps they've changed it for 2011). I would like tobacco if it were two-tone; I'm not so up on full-tobacco.

I'm pretty sure all but the light color leather has the two tone color interior.
I didn't know saddle wasn't available on the 11.

I got it with Monaco blue on my 10. Car came in last month and I love it.

Not all, the beige color is all beige, even the floor. But the oyster is half white half black, which looks awesome.

Congrats! What else did we expect you to say? "I hated it, I regret that I didn't go for the Highlander." ?

Yes, but the cinnamon in the X6M is completely different, much more orange like. I'm baffled as well, I would rather have a more saddle like interior with the pearl white exterior I placed.

Even the cinnamon on the GT seems different under different lighting conditions, although it is an improvement on the X6M color.

Haha, too funny. I didn't think of that.
This is my 7th or 8th BMW and so far one of the favorites b
If I could get the telephone voice commands working it would probably move up a notch.

And just for the fun of it, here's a shot of my old VW Touareg interior that I traded on the X5. Look familiar? They called it "Teak"

Gator, I started off looking at the VW Touareg, found out their model was changing for 2011 so was waiting when I noticed the X5 diesel. Since you have had both would you mind saying how the compare please.

My Touareg was a V8, not a diesel, so can't compare on that basis. What I will say is this.... the VW is far superior for off road use as it is true 4-wheel drive with center and rear locking differentials. It is a beast in the mud, snow and can ford up to 22" of water. My first was an '04, I had it lemon law'd after a year and they gave me a new '05. That one was much better, but still had a lot of annoying issues. The biggest negative by far, and I mean by far, is the VW dealer network for service. They are horrible. No dealer stocks parts so any fix has to happen in no less than 2 visits. One to diagnose, then the 2nd for the fix. VW is not a premium brand and doesn't understand how to treat customers. The other huge negative of the Touareg was maintenance. It costs a fortune to maintain that vehicle. Brakes every 20-25,000 miles at $800/axle. Oil changes at $200-$300, wiper blades at $85, 2 1/2 tons chews tires at 20,000 miles, etc. I had mine for 5 years and spent about $12,000 in maintenance (including tires). I went for the BMW for two main reasons: 1) free maintenance and 2) a BMW ownership experience where the service dept kisses my you know what. Hopefully that will work out. But after 6 years total with VW, I can honestly say I would never, never buy one again.

Thank you, the two dealers in my area looked like run down shacks, kind of scared me coming from Lexus and Inifity past experiences. And I read about complaints about the issues you described.

yup. stick with brands that know how to treat high end customers. don't get me wrong, the Touareg is an incredible vehicle, but the aggravation is just not worth it.

I wish I could get the beige two tone like that. I think it would look better than all black which is what I have ordered.
