Priced to sell?

The dealer I spoke to has a few new 09's. They said they were aggressively priced to sell. What would you consider aggressive for a Mini listing for $33,000 and 34,600? The 2010 that I would want has less options and lists for $30,100. Personally the 09's would have to way below the 10 prices.

Invoice on MINI's is "almost" exactly 10% off of MSRP. I have not heard of any trunk money on older MINI's a la BMW, but wouldn't doubt if there is some. In general, MINI prices should be pretty negotiable nowadays. Up until a year ago, they were able to maintain a MSRP or more value in most US markets, but they've had to concede in this economy to move cars. The past few months have seen free package discounts, low inhouse financing APR's, etc. Just yesterday I got an email from my dealer saying $500 above cost for any car on the lot. The genie is out of the bottle.

I would have to get Thousands off to get into an 09. I mean Thousands. It would have to be An Offer I Could Not Refuse. I doubt that will be the case but I told the dealer we can talk. I'll see what happens. I'll report any good or bad news. Will be around May 15th.

My choice right now is an Interchange S Convert. 6sd with the Sport Pkg and a few other options.
Chili would work also.

most of the dealers in this area are right at 3,000 or so off MSRP on the 09 converts.

Thanks kj. My gut is to find the one I want for 30,100 list (2010) and work it out from there. It would still be cheaper than one of those 09's....and I really do not care for the options on them. OK, the hunt is on. Just need to sell or trade my modded Rubicon

most dealers will give you the same price whether you take it off the lot or custom order it. at least out here they will..
also keep in mind the 2010s lost some features the 09s had.. like seat memory when you fold the seats forward. i can't remember what else, but that was one of them. on the other hand, the H/K sound is SO much better than the Hi-Fi upgrade. plus you get the option of a free package right now too, plus incredible financing deals right now too.

Anyway I'm doing my homework/research. If I find the right one I'll jump on it. So far nothing in stock is interesting. The beat goes on.

yes, def. not enough. I got 1400 off when i ordered my 09 last May.
