1,130 miles this weekend in my Mini CooperS convertible

On Thursday I drove from Seattle into eastern Washington, down through Yakima and Goldendale to the Columbia River and into Portland. On Friday we drove down I5 and over the Cascades to Bend, OR. We then drove down to Crater Lake National Park and eventually to my college roommate's wedding in Medford, OR (actually Jacksonville, just outside of Medford). On Sunday I did the long slog on I5 back to Seattle. All in, I drove 1,130 miles and never got the chance to put the top down! We went over numerous mountain passes and endured rain, snow, sleet, and hail. I'm looking forward to summer!

Outside of Crater Lake, National Park. We never actually saw the lake because the entrance was closed due to snow.

Good looking Mini. Looks like you had a blast traveling.

Mileage wise, I'd do it in a heartbeat. However, my Mini will never see the white stuff...that's what the Bimmer's for and fess up some, you had to have dropped the top somewhere on this trip

Alas, the weather really was that bad. We couldn't believe it. Rain, hail, sleet, snow -- repeat. The irony is that I left my 2006 X3 3.0i manual/sport/premium/xenons/etc. at home thinking I'd get some good top-down driving! I'll just have to do it again

You should have at least dropped it for a couple of those stellar pics you took. Top down in the snow would have been a great shot.

That is a really cute car. Amazing how it could run so much. Me likes.
