Just changed my 'Angel Eyes" Corona Rings today. 35W Xenon filled H8, 7500K bulbs I bought on Ebay. WOW...it's like a totally modern car now. No more yellow rings. $16.99 a pair. It was SO easy in the 750i. A NIGHTMARE in the M6. You literally need the hands of a 4 year old to fit in there. Such a bad design!!

Maybe you bought 8000K or 8500K bulbs? They are not as bright, and can look very purple and aftermarket. Most factory HID lights fall in the 6500k to 7500k range. Our GP Thunder 7500K look great!!! I find them almost at bright as the yellowish/stock BMW H8 bulbs. I tried them at night and in bright light, and do not find them purpleish at all. They are a true, crips white with a hint of blue! I bought them on eBay. Seller ID: justpal Located in CA. Free shipping. 3 pairs (6 bulbs) were $52.00 Sorry you don't like the GP Thunder. I think they look great, and they have such a clean, bright white light!

Sorry, forgot to take a before and after....but we all know what our yellow Angel Eyes look like. I am VERY impressed. Very subtle, but all the yellow/gold of the stock bulbs are gone!

i have the GP thunder also on my M6 for over a year. No warning signs or codes but they get dimmer and lose that blueish hue. One more yera before lease ends and looking to get the 7 series, but i pay less than $1 for a vert M6,.Could I get close to that in a 750LI without having to put down an arm and leg?

How do you pay less than $1k a month for an M6 Cabrio? You must have put an arm and a leg down! We have a 2010 M6 Cabrio...and we pay WAY more than $1k a month!!! :-o

You offered to exchange my GPs because they are purple and I wanted white (as your website and your PMs described). You offered allow me to exchange them to something elst that's white (you had mentioned the Mtek as being "better). I PMed you multiple times now to do that and you haven't replied...I don't understand why you're not returning my messages??

Interesting you haven't coded on the GP's. How long have you had them in? Mine coded after about a month, and so did a friends. I have noticed some large margins on some lights--I suggest shopping around to be sure you're getting a good price.

I don't think they have thrown codes, but they are frickin purple. And that is not how they are described on e92 lightings' website. I am a professional and want a professional look with whiter angel eyes. I don't want to look like a ricer and IMO, that's kind of how the car looks with purple lights.

Any recommendations on what application of Angel Eyes to put on a 2009 650i? I just saw the new 5 and the new 3 and I gotta jump on these badboys!!!

Perhaps you have already posted exactly which ones you installed, but if you wouldn't mind sharing again so everyone knows to which ones your are referring. Sounds like you have a high Kelvin rated bulb.
I have decided to stay clear of GP's as I keep hearing code issues. I wonder if there is a temperature sensor near the bulb that does this since the bulbs do run hotter as they are tinted reducing their ability to throw light, and instead create more heat. Finding that balance between light tint and minimal heat is the key, and hence less purple and more white. I'm guessing in the 4000 Kelvin area.

I have bought both the GP Thunder H8 7500 as well as the LED Bulbs (Ebay: 400126028357) - Once I have my (in about 10 days I hope), I will make pictures of before & after with both lights.

My planned mods:
- Change the bulbs to either the GP Thunders or the GP LEDs - Change out the grill for the wider kidney (760 style) - Change wheels from standard 18" to either 253 OE or 302M OE - Add LLoyds Premium floor mats - 43% tinting on ALL windows, including front screen - will block out 96% of heat - up to 43F dfference - $500 tint job but will protect leather etc- May remove the 740i logo - not pretending to be something different but will give a cleaner look

that is pretty light actually - will give the car a factory look without it being too pimpish....

Didn't know they had 43%. I have 35% and honestly, it's pretty light. You can see through it but it does add a little privacy and 99%+ UV protection. 50% is like having nothing. I don't think 35% looks pimpy at all. In fact, it seems like the perfect balance between classy and privacy. Plus, it's legal in IL.

the installer recommended 43% (or 45%) since the windows already have a slight tint - the combination of the existing tint on the windows plus the 43% will get us to the legal max of 35% in NC....
