All German Auto has developed a custom solution for repairing a 60+ hour, $10,000 coolant leak problem on BMW 745 N62 V8 motors for less than $2,000 completed.

Symptom: Coolant Leak
Coolant will be leaking from hole in front of timing cover (located close to water pump towards passenger side). In front timing cover the hole is approximately a quarter inch.

Rubber seal on aluminum cooling tube has failed. Coolant is leaking into back area of engine timing cover and out of hole.

Bigger Problem:
Replacing this seal/tube is a very, very big job and very expensive.

Install an AGA collapsible cooling tube. We have designed a tube and seals that can be installed (by experienced tech) in under 10 hours.

A potential $7,000 $9,000 repair job is now achieved for less than $2,000. Additionally, the repair can be completed same-day compared to 2-3 weeks.

AGA Solution Rocks

I have done this install just this weekend and it worked flawless. Took me about 7 hours all up, while I was in there I installed a new water pump, belts, new valley pan which comes with the extended kit, as well as new manifold gaskets, new temp assembly for the water pump. No leaks at all, flawless product. BMW should have made the crossover this way in the first place. Way to go AGA!!!!!!!!!!

Total cost for the AGA kit was $899 overnighted included everything. + $400 for temp assembly and water pump and belts etc... Savings = $9000 in BS labor on a defective part and seal!!!!!! Not to mention the labor on the water pump which depending on the BMW dealer you go to is anywhere from $ 1200 to $ 1500

I've heard about this problem, but have never seen it first hand. Hats off to All German Auto for coming up with this repair. Not just for coming up with a way to cut hours on the job, but replace the failed component with a much higher quality and more durable part. Great job, guys.

Thankyou all german auto!!!!


I just finished getting this done in Orlando by Hans Foreign Car Service and we purchased the pipe created by All German Auto. It has saved me thousands of dollars and works awesome! I am so glad that I found this post and that Hans Foreign Car Service had the guts to be the first ones to do this in Orlando. I highly recommend this to anybody that has this issue.

Its a bit of hack method, but this correction existed for years with the BMW part. You pull the valley pan and cut the coolant pipe with a cutoff wheel or reciprocating saw in half to remove. Wipe out the metal shavings. Put the new pipe in a vice and cut in half. Slide a 3-4" hose of fitting size over one end of the pipe with two hose clamps. Install the two ends into position, center the hose over the cut and tighten the clamps. Even if the hose/clamps were to leak at some point, its coolant leaking within coolant.

The parts will be less than the above kit by several hundred dollars
