Active Cruise Control Option (5DF)

Is this the option most current F10 owners don't choose? I would imagine it can be very useful in stop-and-go traffic and with the pre-safe brake feature it can lessen the impact before a collision.

Actually it doesn't work very well in stop-and-go traffic because folks complain it's too aggressive in trying to maintain a distance from the car in front. So if a car cuts you off, it's going to dramatically reduce speed to leave a gap, and of course in an urban area, someone else is going to cut you off again. For long highway drives with free-flowing traffic, the ACC would be great. But as a substitute for urban highways, no, it is not.

Good in Stop and Go

I have heard it was good in stop and go from a guy who has it. If you are from NY and only want a 6 ft gap between you and the next car-you have a problem. He drove 220 miles into NYC and only used his brakes once. You have to accept someone might merge in front of you.

I have ordered it but have no personal experience. I don't tailgate so I hope it works for me.

I have ACC on my 6 and would never get another car without it. I drive to New York City frequently. My cruise does not operate below 20 mph so I have no experience with the stop and go feature in heavy slow traffic, but if it works as well as mine does on the highway it would be a great thing to have in NY. I will find out the first time I drive my new F10 to the City. If it doesn't work well in stop and go traffic then you can just turn it off then and use it only at highway speeds.

I would bet night vision would be the least chosen option. Perhaps even individual paint or anthracite headliner, since they are more "off menu" items.
