BMW Z4 Made of Stone

The BMW Z4 has chiselled stone wheels, bonnet and doors.

The seats, steering wheel and dash interior are made of formed cement and even the BMW logo has been etched into the chassis and wheels.

The grey car measures 13ft long, 6ft wide and 4ft high. It's road-going version has a top speed of 155mph and usually sells for around 35,000 pounds.

Veterinarian Eric Brum, 32, photographed the sculpture in the 798 art district of Beijing, China, while in the city for a conference. He said: "Walking down the road, I spotted what appeared to be a grey BMW Z4 M Coupe parked unusually. "It caught my eye since I had raced a Z4 M Coupe the previous year. "So fair to say I took an interest the grey car, snapped a quick picture and walked closer to check it out. "As I got closer, I saw it actually had a cobblestone surface to match the ground around it. "I thought it was a wrap cover over a normal Z4 since the proportions of the car were so perfect. "Even as I reached out to touch it, I didn't think it was really made of stone. "Getting my hands on it finally, I was shocked - it was a rock solid stone replica and must have weighed at least six or seven tons. "Duly impressed, I started taking pictures and examining the details. "In addition to an exterior made of stone and mortar chiseled to the M Coupe dimensions, it also had a complete interior made of formed cement and glass door windows, windshield and rear window. "Even the BMW roundel was etched in the correct locations." The artist who created the model, however, remains anonymous.
