E39 rear window regulator repair kit available (E39 up to 6/99)

I have a 2000 528I. The front passenger window just went last night. The motor spins and attempts to roll the window up, but is stops 1/3 the whay up. Does this sound like something your kit would repair? My email is ramharleyvette@yahoo.com.

Hi Gerry,
Sorry the kit only works on the rear windows and only on cars made up to 6/99, after that the regulator style changed and breaks in a different way.

I hope you make a bundle from this little engineered kit you devised. I think my left rear went tonight. (motor works, so switch works but, window doesn't move.) I'll be looking at it tomorrow. Please PM me the info so I can order as soon as I check it out.

I was reading past posts concerning individual's rear window issues. Please help me with any suggestions to replace or repair my 1995 E34, 525i. the rear windows will go down but not up(close). Do I need new regulators, or can a repair solve issue.

Hi Robert,
Bottom line, I don't know. I'm thinking that the E34 used a rack and pinion type of regulator not the wire and pulley type the E39 uses. My best advice is to open it up and take a look at how they work. When you push the up button does the motor make noise? If not maybe it's just a bad switch??? Thanks for responding, yes both window switches are OK, I hear the motor turning when the switch is pushed for close, but windows do not close. I think I will just purchase the regulators, as I think the motors should be OK too.

i was about to get the window regulators off Stealership, which they charge $$$$$...than i searched and got directed to this....

I have 98 BMW 528i, and my rear right window does not go all the way down, it get stuck 3/4 going down (it make a sound when it reaches to end and i immediately stop thinking something will break if i continue to press window switch), i believe it has something to do with window regulators, would your kit repair my condition...
