Heading into the shop tomorrow... tips?

I just bought this 2005 645ci.

Im heading to the Baron BMW of Kansas City to have my passenger restraint system fixed per the error on the nav screen.

My navigation system isnt working all of a sudden either. Should I have them update the cars software like iv been seeing other do?

Any tips? advice?

Its a cpo, so im sure the nav isnt covered but I hope they can atleast help me out a little...

Did you purchase the BMW from this dealer? The only time I haven't gotten a loaner -- and I didn't buy my BMW from the local dealer -- was if I needed something done immediately and none were available. When I make the service appointments I always ask for an appointment when a loaner is available...

I do know that it makes a difference to local dealers if you purchased the vehicle from them. This is my sixth BMW so I have a long history with the local dealer and it may be why I get the loaner easily...

I purchased it from the manheim in phoenix. My dealer locally was "out" of the loaners so I sat and waited for 4 hours. They did fix everything though. New seat belt system, nav cd, radiator hose, and oil change for $390. (nav $200 - oil $110 - cpo deduct $50)

My dealer was out of loaners so they had a rental car dropped off for me on their dime. I did have an apt with a loaner though.
