Oil pump bolts coming loose is a common problem on M62 motors. It could be a possibility. Also, I saw on one of your pics that your oil filter housing was loose, so make sure one of the rubber lines isn't kinked.

Looking at your post in another thread, you said that you installed a 01 motor in your 96, and you said that you used the harness from the 96. In some cars, the variable valve timing is adjusted by oil pressure to the cam pulleys, by the oil control solenoid. If BMWs use this setup, and you didn't connect the solenoid, then your cam pulley is being starved of oil.

@balance thanks and im getting it together and if the vanos are not hooked up the car will just run and drive in retard mode but its still fast and all but not fast as a working vanos car lol

Alright

If the timing is going to be retarded anyways, you could probably save some money at the pump by going to a lower grade gas.
