The only thing boring about a 335D is having to drive something else!

Actually my friend with the 2009 Red Barbera wants to trade it for a new M3. He tried out my Black Sport/Premium and said he could really feel the difference in the handling between the standard 3 series and the sport. I did not test his out, what's the point of that?

I was in Panama two weeks ago and was picked up in a standard gas 3 series over there. I think it had a 2.0liter engine. Definitely not impressed.

I'm waiting for something to come along like a 4.0 liter V-8 Diesel or even soemthing like the V-10 Bi-Turbo Diesel that Touareg had at one time. Only with a badge on it!

There's a 345hp tri-turbo variant of the N57 next year (X5 only, I think?), but I doubt that'll make it over here. My dealer told me it was the 265-280hp N57-powered 535d (or 530d) coming over late 2010 to the U.S. and early 2011 to Canada.

Guys, thanks for the compliments but let me clarify.

The M-Sport package adds the following:

Suspension mods like the regular sport package
Sport seats, shadowline exterior trim like the regular sport package
M-Sport only steering wheel (no heat avail but I love it)
More aggressive front bumper, side rocker panels & rear bumper (lower section is gray so choice of paint color will affect how each person feels about the rear look)
rear park distance control included in the package
Different wheels (193M) 18" shod with larger rear tires (255/35/18) than front (225/40/18)
Anthracite headliner (black) this look may affect how it melds with interior upholstery color
Package allows for choice of glacier aluminum trim which I liked and preferred over the brushed aluminum, not applicable to my car but some exterior color options are only available with M-Sport package and some colors are not permitted
aluminum sill plates are standard

The carbon fiber trunk spoiler, is a BMW aftermarket part that I got from Tischer

I like the subtle aspect of the clear coated carbon fiber against the black sapphire metallic paint. I have also changed the stock chrome kidney grill inserts for black slats inside a carbon fiber surround to tie it all together.

Prior to the 2011 MY, when looking I was considering the sport package, but when I saw that BMW was offering the diesel fans the opportunity to add the even more sporting (aggressive styling) aspects offered M-Sport I felt that offered additions that would complement the terrific performance of the 335d's torque perfectly. Everyone who I've taken for a ride is totally BLOWN away! I'm keeping an eye on Stugot's experience with the tuning chip options to enhance that aspect further

paint protection is good investment. I got mine done in $650 and 35% tints $250.

Raja is pretty active in the local club and has done many cars before mine for club members including a Lambo this month. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=417943

He works out of his home in Herndon, in terms of cost it will depend on what areas you want to cover/protect. I did the front bumper, he purchases pre cut templates for areas like that. I also had the A pillar, headlights and side mirrors done. Many people also opt for partial or full hood as well as front quarter panels, rocker panels.

Thanks! diffuser is stock -no M-sport package but it does have: Premium, Technology and Rear Climate.

Here's my 2009. Totally loaded with heated seats. It was one of the launch vehicles. Now running the JBD with outstanding results.

Thanks, it wouldn't have been my first choice but it's a good safe color for my wife. It also has tan Pleather and jaspe Cocomats.

BAAA wish we waited for them to offer the M Sport but it wasnt available at the time..
We have everything else in ours.
