Just asking for an opinion on color combo

Hey guys...

I am preparing to order my new 5. For the interior, I am wanting to get the oyster and black.

For the exterior, I am torn between black sapphire metallic or the imperial blue metallic (the darker of the two blues). I know there is no right or wrong answer and that it should be whatever I choose (as it will). However, I would like to hear some other opinions. Both look great. I know I will see a lot of the black sapphire, so was thinking the imperial, might be a good alternate.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

You're right, they will both look great. I have Black Sapphire on my current 335i (and on my previous 330i). I was so torn on the color for my new 535i. I was considering Black Sapphire, Mojave and Imperial Blue. In the end I stuck with Black Sapphire -- there is just no substitute for black, IMO. If Carbon Black (VERY dark blue, almost black) had been available, I might have taken it. They all look good, that's why it is hard to decide -- good luck!

Black Sapphire is the most popular color for the F10 in Germany. The Germans have great taste.

I ordered Imperial Blue with Oyster and Black. Nothing looks better than a black car for the 15 minutes it is clean. Every time I buy a black car I swear I won't do it again. This time I decided to try something I've never had before and Imperial Blue looked really nice.

Black exterior; your interior pick is sweet.

+1 - I've owned one black car. Never again under ANY circumstances. I think Imperial Blue would look great. And you're right, it would be a departure from the crowd.

Mein Auto: 2011 BMW 535xi
I just ordered a 535xi with oyster/black interior and imperial blue exterior. I got the chance to drive a 535i home to show my wife and it was that same exact color combination. It looked great! Of course color preferences are in the eye of the beholder. I liked the imperial blue as compared to the other blue which I thought was a little too light and vivid for my tastes. Imperial blue appears to be a very dark blue so I don't know how different its care would be as compared to black. My wife, at first, thought it was a black but then in different light it definitely looks like a dark blue. I love it and can't wait to get the car in October/November.
