Couple technological questions - Two remotes present and bluetooth passkey
1. Anyone here know what happens if the two remotes are in the car at the same time (I'm driving and my wife has her key in her purse)? BTW, I have the Convenience Package.
2. If I want to Bluetooth my iPhone, where does one get the "passkey?" On my 7er, there was supposed to be a little slip with the books that come with the car. Someone lost it so I had to take a panel out and find a piece of equipment inside the trunk walls that had a sticker on it with the passkey numbers. Thanks! My answers are based on my E60, so YMMV on the F10.
With 2 CA keys in the car, the car has always seemed to "do the right thing". Not sure how it knows -- perhaps it's based on who enters from the driver's side? For bluetooth pairing -- you make up the code. Enter any code you want on your phone, and then you'll have to enter the same code in the car to complete the pairing. I generally just use my odometer reading.

Thanks for the post. I'm going to try pairing my phone this morning. They must have gotten rid of the car having it's own passkey since '06? That makes things much easier. I had an Acura that paired how you describe above. As to comfort access thing, it must pick who's closest to the driver's side door with their key fob maybe? Who knows, but I'm glad the car is that smart! Last edited by Bunky; 08-04-2010 at 12:25 PM. |

My 08 E92 uses VIN last 5 digits for BT pairing. And never a key conflict with CA.

most of the time either 0000 or 1234 for passkey will work perfect
