1996 740iL ignition/starter problem
Recently lost power while driving; battery and oil lamps came on. Shut everything off, but car will not restart. Starter remains engaged after turning ignition key on. Engine turns over but will not engage/start. Any ideas?

My first guess would be the fuel pump, but without actually looking at your car myself, it would be hard to tell with any certainty.
